This website is primarily concerned with my historical crime fiction, but the Sam Plank series was certainly not my first foray into writing books.
In my incarnation as an anti-money laundering adviser I wrote dozens of books to guide directors and staff (these are affectionately known as the piggy books, thanks to the chubby pink piggy bank on their covers), as well as a series of fictionalised accounts of the life of a poor, benighted Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
As light relief I wrote a weekly column for my local newspaper – the cream of a decade of columns has been gathered into Susan in the City: the Cambridge News Years.
And in an attempt to encourage more people to take the plunge into self-employment, I wrote The Solo Squid: How to Run a Happy One-Person Business.
These are all available through Amazon and other online retailers; if you’re trying to find them and having no luck, please contact me and I’ll provide links. (In particular, there are many versions of the piggy books, for different sectors and different jurisdictions, so do make sure you are buying the right one – contact me if you need guidance on which to choose.)
